Lead by example

My two years daughter is very good at imitating. The other day I wore a salwar suit and took a dupatta, before going out. She immediately took out her pink dupatta and wore it on her blue frock. She then hung her purse on her shoulders, the way I do. And ready she was, to go.

She simply repeats whatever she sees. This made me think probably parenthood is not that difficult as it is hyped to be. You simply be what you want your child to be. It sounds simple, lead by example, doesn't it?

That would mean, we should not fight in front of her. We should not eat junk food, stop watching television, stop arguing with our parents, and the list goes on. It isn't that easy, right!

Its a fact, that we should be like examples to our children. Being that example calls for perfection of self. Its important to look at our behaviour first, then at the child's. If you manage to do that and assure good company for the child, morality will never be a problem.
