First pregnancy vs the second

Very few people opt for a second child these days. If you do get pregnant the second time, its not like the first pregnancy. Here are a few differences:-
  • Short of patience
In the second pregnancy you definitely fall short of patience. Nine months wait, about which you are very excited the first time, seems to be an endless time. The main reason for this shortage is you get tired taking care of the first child and doing daily chores. That lack of energy just reduces some of your quintessential patience.
  • Activities for healthy foetal development
You should exercise regularly, eat healthy, drink milk, read good books, watch humorous movies, listen to soothing music, meditate regularly etc. A healthy lifestyle during pregnancy ensures a healthy baby. You go out of your way to do everything the first time. What happens the second time? If your first child is awake, you might have to skip the exercise, meditation and good television. If you have only one cup of milk, you have to keep it for your child in case he/she needs it. You can read good books only when the child is not around. Because the moment child sees you reading, you have to close the book before it is torn into pieces.
  • Overcoming shortfalls of the first pregnancy
The best part is you can overcome the shortfalls of your first pregnancy and child-bearing by not doing the same mistakes again. For eg- if you were detected with gestational diabetes in the seventh month, the first time, you know what precautions to take the second time. Small errors related to health during pregnancy, breast-feeding, toilet training etc can be fixed easily the second time.

In the end, every pregnancy is different. During the first pregnancy you are an amateur parent. But in the second pregnancy you have some experience. Second pregnancy could seem exhausting. But don't give up. Its definitely worth the wait.
