My speaking tree

At our home, the sofa is placed so that it faces the open balcony. It offers a sufficient view of the surroundings above the third floor level. It consists mainly of a huge tree situated right in front of the building and a few newly build taller buildings at some distance. The tree predominantly obstructs the view of all that lays behind.

This unknown species of a huge tree lays on the broken footpath of Dhokali, Thane. A strong crooked  brown colored stem holds this long tree which lusciously branches out in front of our balcony. This tree stations numerous kinds of birds. These multicolored birds play around the tree's branches like our children play in the garden.

This tree helps me make a judgement of the weather outside. It dries out in the summers, like the evil sun has sucked up all its green juices. In monsoon, it shakes terribly under the thunderous winds and heavy rains. Probably the fear of erosion and loosing out branches shake it up. Winters are probably comfortable for it. As its never too cold in here. Whichever season is going on, a little breeze and it dances in the air. If I see it slowly, merrily dancing to the tunes of the nature, I think probably weather is not too harsh. Its time I can go out and complete my work.

Whenever my mind overflows with thoughts I search for something that would calm me down. In one such search I found the same tree telling me to slow down. It asked to gradually, merrily take time as it comes. The serene movement of the branches and leaves told me to act peacefully. And the whole tree gave me an example of bearing all the seasons gently, without letting the heart being affected.

The nature always gives us simple lessons. Our smartness lies in picking them up. So next time, just stop and watch by the tree next to your home. Does it say something to you?
